Sweet Reward

For little Nik Aziz's birthday, we chose robot designs and made them in pastel colours.
Hey, do you know that the word 'robot' comes from the Republic of Czech ' robota' which means "hard work"or "labour"? Heard that on the radio today.
Anyway, the cuppies came out quite beautifully.
Here is how they look like.

And these cute ice cream cuppies are especially for Indah who just turned ONE!

This order came from our own mom who wanted to give cupcakes with some personal touch to each one of her graduating pre-university students.This is to reward them for all their years of hard work in school. So we baked carrot cupcakes, laced them with butter cream topping. We used cube mini waffles and dates cookies, dipped in chocolate sauce to make the mortal boards. (Take note that waffles are probably not the best choice as they turn daft and lose the crunchiness, we would opt for chocolate mini bar the next time). We made the tassels out of licorice, you can also use fruit slices for the same purpose.We then used M&Ms as toppers. To make the diploma, we rolled out tiny pieces of fondant icing, place them on the cuppies and decorated them with tiny fondant flowers. When everything is done, we individually packed them. We should have used the school colours for the ribbons but we ran out of green ribbons. So we used pink ribbons for the girls' and yellow ribbons for the boys'. Here are the products of our labour :)
