It has been a busy week. Exam week is here again and my sis-cum-business partner has been accepted to do architecture in UIA.( Congrats, Kakak!)  Major changes are about to take place in our lives, I'm sure.

Anyway, in the midst of everything, we can't say NO to baking cupcakes for Abang Reduan's wedding. We made cupcakes for his engagement hantaran once and this time, we made cute mini cupcakes for meja pengantin ( main table).

At first we were told that the theme was going to be gold so we used brownish paper cups. However, at the last minute, they changed the theme to pink and white. By then, it's too late to bake another batch of cupcakes. ( Tips: If you face the same situation and you have time, you could cut out wrapping papers of the colour that you want and wrap the cupcake cups to disguise the awkwardness, You could also use pieces of doily paper which look like lace. Or simply slip each cupcake into unused cupcake cups of the colour requested )

Unfortunately, time was one thing that we did not have that day...
But fortunately, the groom's family were happy with the result and the taste!

We got some friends to sample them and we already have some orders.
For Diana's birthday pack, she ordered big "Famous Amos" size cookies to add into each goodie bag.

This order was for a speaker who came to grace the occasion of  Maulidur Rasul in SMK(L)BB,PJ.
We made red velvet cupcakes, decorated with apple green cream cheese topping.
A few were decorated with fondant icing with the wordings "terima kasih" written on it.


We were very happy to hear that the ustadz found the cupcakes " really delicious and they were all gone in a flash!"

Every now and then, we get requests for apple pies. We love to make apple pies. It's not that difficult though we wont totally agree with the idiom "as easy as pie".
Nothing beats the smell of apple pies baking in the oven. You can almost taste the goodness of the flavour.

Black bottom chocolate chip cupcakes, anyone?

They are so moist and spongy,  a delicious combination of rich chocolate cake and creamy cheesecake.
You can taste the rich chocolaty flavour against the creamy cheesecake mixture, and bites of chocolate chips just add to the heavenly experience! This is a favourite among my friends. Hope you would want to try some too!

The year of ferocious tiger is almost over, making way for the gracious and calm rabbit. To the Chinese, the rabbit is a lucky sign. No wonder it is a long awaited festival. Every shopping complexes we go are jammed with people making preparation for the Chinese New Year festival.
We love the atmosphere and most importantly all the decorations we see. We spot a particular window display at a watch shop in Sunway Pyramid and are inspired by  the use of fans and cherry blossom flowers. So we decided to use it as the design of our CNY cupcakes.



Oranges are available in abundance now, so yeah... we use them too. The red scroll is inspired by BB calligraphy competition recently. Here are some of the cupcake orders we have this festive seasons.

The order for yet another hantaran came from Auntie Suhaibah who was helping a relative preparing for his engagement party. We were asked to prepare the cupcakes in white, pink and fuschia , which was the theme of the event. We used fondant icing over carrot cupcakes, they seem to be all time favourite.  Auntie Sue also ordered a few extras just for ' makan-makan', nothing fancy, cream cheese topping decorated with little fondant flowers.We delivered them on time and besides getting the payment, Auntie Sue packed us with delicious, authentic nasi lemak, rendang and other condiments. Yummy! The smell was so tempting, we had some in the car before getting on with other delivery. Thanks, Auntie Suhaibah!
